The the idea of "accidental art" has been a long-term fixation of ours. Examples of colours and textures brought together by chance, age or even neglect can be satisfyingly artful to our eyes.
Accidental art is incidental and highly subjective. We get that not everyone will understand what we are trying to express, let alone actually see the beauty in it that we do. In this way, it is not so different to the celebrated art that we flock to see and consider in galleries.
Accidental art is not pastiche. The walls here are not purposely aged or worn for effect. They are weathered by time and reveal the brushstrokes of life in their locality.
Do you have examples of accidental art hidden on your camera?
We'd love to see and share them in our exploration of the subject. Send your pictures to : Yasumi @ superordinarylife (.) com
